This 2022 Via Verde Red Blend Melnik wine is blended with Cabernet Franc and Syrah, which are grown on limestone-rich soil. To make things even more interesting, a smidgen of the iconic indigenous Mavrud is added to the blend.
With no oak used in the ageing process, this wine has blossomed in the bottle into a velvety smooth, complex and delicious gem.
Tonnes of black forest fruits with notes of black pepper and cedar on the nose. Great with mature hard cheeses and game or hearty stews, this red blend can cope with a range of other red meat-based dishes.
