This classic Bordeaux blend 2017 Cabernet Merlot from the Ivaylovgrad Reserve, Yamantievs, Bulgaria not only tastes fabulous but looks spectacular, so it’s often used for gifts and presents.
Classic Meritage blend that won a gold medal at the International Wine Challenge in Vienna in its 2015 vintage is available in very limited quantities. This vintage is a more well-structured and full-bodied and will reward careful ageing.
Full and robust but with a well-rounded harmonious palate. Black forest fruits mix with black plums, smoke and spice. Long finish. Serve with red meat and strong cheeses!
To compensate for the heavy-weight glass used for this wine, Yamantievs initiated sustainable practices in all their vineyards, which are now in conversion. The winery donates to the Wildlife Trust to help towards sustainability in Bulgaria.
